Well, after doing a great deal of research and checking out the reviews below and somewhere else, I decided to buy Arctic King MWK-10CRN1-BJ8 10,000 BTU Window Mounted Air Conditi. Though I 'd have preferred a much better warranty, I chose the features were appealing enough to attempt it. It is a bunch of money to throw away if it falls short simply after the guarantee. The actual brand of this A/C is a sunpentown model # WA1011S. Im not sure that the follow me feature works either. This feature allows the remote to do the temperature sensing instead of the sensor on the actual unit. The unit is reasonably quiet for a window A/C. Most of the noise is fan noise, can barely tell when the compressor is on. Basically it is what you would expect from an average window A/C unit.
