We simply bought this DAC6011E 6,000 btu window air conditioner - Euro Grey, using the discount and the cost-free shipping after checking out some of the prior reviews prior to buying the product. So far so great. I am entirely in love with this product from Danby, Made it the finest cost on the web when we purchased it first of this month.
Great little A/C
Excellent value. It is small/light, very quiet, cools a bedroom even on low (10x10x8), has auto cool with a digital thermostat, a remote control and easy to install (sliders don't have to be screwed in <- Important because I take out my A/Cs when not needed and store them neatly back in their boxes). Key is it's both cool and quiet an essential feature for this type of A/C in my opinion: Smaller bedrooms where the a/c has to be quiet and let you sleep.
I always thought A/C remotes were useless but it's especially useful when you want to make an adjustment and don't have to get up hence allowing you to continue sleeping.

Most Underlined Buyer Review : POS
I bought Danby 5200btu at costco two years ago and it was ok for my needs. Nothing amazing but for $120 i could live with it compared to my $450 8000btu Friedrich which was worse than Danby. The motor started making noise so i wanted to get the same model this year but costco only had 6000btu model. I bought it and compared to one working 5200btu Danby i had. Its about the same or worse and the lowest fan setting produces a whining noise. Medium and high fan settings are quiet. The 5200 model has the same dimensions and looks the same. I think Danby intentionally overrated this model to get more profit. This AC is going back and i'll look for something similar around 5000btu.
