I received this product about 6 days ago and am very pleased with the item. I had an Frigidaire FRA064VU1 6,000 BTU Low Profile Window Air Conditioner and I would never ever buy again. Up until now so excellent. Cannot be worse than the Frigidaire FRA064VU1 6,000 BTU Low Profile Window Air Conditioner Also if you registered it on line you got an additional two months guarantee.

Quiet and Cold
I can actually sleep with this thing. Has all the usual functions...installed easy peasy and cools our large bedroom very nicely. Love the low profile. A negative is that you can't really see the display, but I can live with that...also the air goes more up than at...which is actually a plus from my perspective.

UPDATE: I have ordered and use two of these now. Both arrived without damage that others mentioned. I continued to be pleased with these relatively quiet units that are less obtrusive and that provide good cooling.

Frigidaire's FRA12EZU2 12,000 BTU 230-Volt Window-Mounted Compact Air Conditioner with 11,000 BTU Supplemental Heat is perfect for rooms up to 640 square feet. In addition to cooling, this versatile unit also offers a supplemental heat capability, providing you with an additional heat source when needed. It quickly cools the room on hot days and the quiet operation keeps you comfortable without keeping you awake. Features include electronic controls, temperature sensing remote control, 8-way air direction control and multiple speeds. Plus, the antibacterial mesh filter with clean filter alert reduces bacteria, room odors and airborne particles creating a comfortable environment. This unit requires a special 230V electrical outlet and will not operate with a standard 115V household electrical outlet.

ENERGY EFFICIENT

This unit has an Energy Efficiency Ratio of 9.8 and is sure to provide you with convenient, cool comfort. In Energy-saver mode the fan continues to run for 1 minute after the compressor shuts off. Most Underlined Buyer Review : Nice & Quiet
I had trouble finding an air conditioner that would fit a window larger than 36". This one fits the bill. This works great in my office window. I previously had a Maytag that was super loud which made it tough during conference calls. This unit is as quiet as I have ever found. Bought a smaller model Frigidaire for the bedroom which is also very quiet.
