I got this item about 4 days ago and am really delighted with the item. I had an Haier CPN14XH9 14,000 BTU Portable Room Heat/Cool Air Conditioner and I would never purchase once again. So far so great. Cannot be worse than the Haier CPN14XH9 14,000 BTU Portable Room Heat/Cool Air Conditioner Likewise if you registered it on line you got an additional two months warranty.
Just for Looks...
I'll keep it short... This air conditioner is made with the cheapest materials possible. I bought this air condition last year, and three months later the fan broke. I opened up to see if I could do anything about it (and to confirm that it was in fact the fan the was causing the trouble), it turned out that it was in fact the fan that broke (basically shattered into pieces) and most of the material inside was STYROFOAM and cheap plastic... I'll never buy from this company again

4-in-1 Comfort
A Quick Mount Window Kit is included for exhausting the unit through any horizontal or vertical opening window, and fully-directional casters provide mobility. Maintenance is minimal with a slide-out washable mesh filter and Auto Evaporation technology that makes manual draining unnecessary.
Auto Evaporation
The Auto Evaporation feature provides uninterrupted cooling by eliminating the need to manually empty a water collection pan or bucket. Instead, condensation is continually exhausted through the window in the form of water vapor by way of the exhaust hose.
How Does It Work?
1. Warm, humid air is drawn from the room into the portable air conditioner through the air intake hose.2. Humidity is pulled from the air and drops as water from the coils into the water collection area in the base of the air conditioner.
3. A turbine fan picks up the collected water and sprays it onto the hot condenser coil where it evaporates into water vapor.
4. The water vapor, along with the heat removed from the room is blown out of the discharge hose and passes out of the room through the included window kit.
5. Cooled air is then circulated throughout the room.

To work properly, portable air conditioners must be vented. The included window exhaust kit makes it easy to vent your portable air conditioner through standard horizontal or vertical-opening windows. The kit includes a window panel and adapter to fit to the dimensions of your window, along with hose connectors and two hoses.
Convenient Control Features
The timer function is an energy saving feature that allows you to easily program the air conditioner to turn on or off at preferred times.
The full-function remote mirrors the unit's control panel, with buttons for power, temperature, fan speed, and mode selection. Store your remote in the built-in cradle on the front of the air conditioner unit for easy access and safe keeping.
