Well, after doing a lot of research and checking out the reviews right here and elsewhere, I decided to purchase LG Electronics LW1811ER 18,000 BTU Electronic Air Conditioner with Remote. Though I 'd have chosen a better guarantee, I decided the functions were appealing enough to try it. It is a bunch of money to get rid of if it falls short just after the guarantee. I am absolutely in love with this product. It is high quality product, wise features. I just got it today, and I will upgrade my review later on if required.

Most Underlined Buyer Review : Almost perfect
Staring with the big problem: no where in the product description do I remember seeing word that this a/c would require a special 20 amp outlet. The plug is atypical and cannot be inserted in a regular outlet. An electrician had to come and install not only a 20 amp outlet that would accomodate the plug, but also a new breaker in my circuit box.
